Description
The death of six-year-old Adam at the hands of an unknown hit-and-run driver puts his mother Lydia, under intense pressure. Her unsteady marriage now fails and her husband Jake, delivers devastating news. Lydia, close to a breakdown, seeks solace from her younger sister Marney. With her emotional support and encouragement, Lydia attempts to overcome the depression and despair that is threatening to destroy her entire life. After returning to work at the café she owns and runs with her sister, Lydia receives an anonymous phone call from a woman who claims to know the identity of the hit-and-run driver who killed her son. Desperate to uncover the truth, Lydia must decide if she can trust the stranger who tries to convinces her that the people closest to her are her real true enemies. Marney's involvement with an older married man from Lydia's past causes a rift between the sisters as Lydia edges closer to the truth. Her sanity and judgement are tested to the limits of her endurance as her misguided trust leads to the death of two innocent people.
