Description
Ask yourself, "Do you feel safe in our society, would you change it if you could, how far would you go?" Half a dozen bloodied gang members are strewn across a pavement; it seems no-one cares anymore except the handful of coppers filing their overtime claims. As the body count escalates; each with the same injuries, the media pump up the volume. When scores of violent, anti-social offenders are likewise "sanitised", the stories go viral. Whole areas are "made safe" and the public create a "Brit-Grit" cult hero. A brilliant, high profile Scotland Yard detective starts a nationwide man hunt at the command of a vengeful politician. Ex-SAS Alex Kennedy has planned for these outcomes and inexorably the next, gritty stage of his project to kick start judicial and criminal reform rolls out even though he's got much better things to do with his life. Kennedy never reckons on being sucked into a covert government plot but unbelievably finds himself the filling in a political sandwich between the Home Secretary, the Assistant Commissioner of Scotland Yard and the government's Mr Fix-it, a Kissinger-type who pulls many hidden strings. Kennedy uses his Special Forces training to plan with military precision and guile but the snowball he starts develops into a tiger's tail of an avalanche which ultimately sweeps him into the hell-fire world of the UK drug barons, where death is the currency of failure and life is cheap and expendable... does the end justfy the means? Is there ever an excuse for Illegal Justice?
