One night in June 2010, Rob Sheldon, his wife Emma and their young son George retire for the night. When Rob awakens the next morning, his wife and child are missing, and his home is unrecognisable. Finding a violent stranger in his room, he narrowly escapes death, and goes in search of his family. He now embarks on a perilous journey, where he discovers he is living twenty five years in the future. The world he is trapped in, is in the grip of a severe oil crisis, which has reached dire proportions. He witnesses desperate acts of violence in the name of self-preservation, as the country struggles to survive in a world with virtually no power or fuel.
