Description

September Strong works as a Housing Officer on the fictitious randomly numbered Gotham Estate. Her days are spent trying to solve the problems of the odd and dysfunctional residents who live there including Benny Bright who is convinced his neighbour puts rats through his window, Brian Bun with his multiple CCTV cameras who amongst other things watches Sally Hookers Bottom when she hangs her smalls out, Boswell Bag the thirteen year old mini crime wave and his run in with Grandma Grump. One frosty October evening when arriving at the Gotham Estate Residents Meeting (GERM) September finding the meeting room locked and in darkness sees something that will traumatise her for the rest of her life. To add to the colourful residents of the Gotham Estate September's colleagues at the Area Housing Office are equally odd. The mad Manager Mrs Boots and her Spanish clap and dreaded team meetings, Patronising Pam, Health and Safety Helen and Nesh Noreen all add to the odd circumstances September has to endure. If only there was something to look forward to, oh yes the office Christmas Meal at the Crazy Duck, the Tenants Conference and long term the possibility of an offer of accommodation at Last Post Court, retirement living for ex Public Sector Employees. to add to all this Pauline Plum has gone missing...
