Description

An unmarked aircraft has crashed on a Far Eastern mountain, its wreckage scattered on a 23,000 foot ridge. With the world at the brink of war, four strangers are drawn to that mountain by interwoven events. The Spanish missionary flees his nation's civil war. The Baltistani hunter scours the Himalaya for his sister's murderers. The American reporter tracks the Axis document that killed her journalist husband. The British mountaineer craves a final shot at the peak that claimed his comrades. Driven by their bitter pasts, the four converge on Nepal's Mt. Kangchenjunga, unaware that two flights of Japanese imperial marines are closing from the east with orders to retrieve the crashed plane's cargo at all costs for it will determine the victor of a war not yet started.

Amazon Reviews:
"The first chapter, which takes place in a Japanese warplane over Tibet in ferocious weather, is outstanding. It grabs the reader and doesn't let go. Excellent writing style. The story line of each character in this two-book novel is brought to an explosive conclusion. If you enjoy historical thrillers, I recommend this effort. (M&D)

"A good World War II epic with settings in Civil War Spain, depression America, and the Far East. The plot and theme are unique." (AC)

"The author creates a story apart from any I have read." (JR)

"The book contains four subplots and to see them come together makes for a great story." (JS)

Author's note: While a brief synopsis of Book One, The Warriors, is included, it is recommended that Book One be read first for maximum impact.

Gary Naiman has written fourteen novels. One of his books is being considered for a motion picture.
