Southern belle Amelia Constance is on her way to Wyoming as a mail order bride after her father dies, leaving her homeless and penniless. Before her father had passed on he'd answered an ad from a man in need of a wife, to help run and care for his ranch. Her father had assured Amelia that the man was an important and prestigious, gentleman rancher. Amelia knows she will make the perfect wife for such a man. Upon arriving in Hopewell, Wyoming, she soon enough finds out that the man is not what he claimed to be.
