Description

From the 17-year-old television host of Hunt Channel's® The Outdoor Experience, Blake Alma, shares the remarkable story of his journey from growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, with non-outdoorsy parents to becoming the youngest personality on outdoor TV. As the oldest of eight children and surrounded by the big city, Blake faced numerous challenges to develop his passion for the outdoors.

Throughout the book, Blake recounts his experiences interviewing a range of guests on his TV show, such as Ted Nugent, Jim Shockey, Chad Mendes, Jase Robertson, Eva Shockey, Michael Waddell, and Phil Robertson. He also shares the adventures that have shaped his young outdoor lifestyle and his commitment to Christian, conservative values in the face of America's most controversial social issues.

Fearlessly tackling topics such as gun rights, the evidence for God's existence in nature, and standing up against those who oppose the constitution and hunting rights, Blake remains steadfast in his beliefs. Despite the hate he receives from opposing parties, he perseveres, explaining why he is a hunter, why he believes in God, how the outdoors can positively impact one's life, and his support for President Donald J. Trump.

In addition, Blake offers practical advice on how to engage children with the outdoors, drawing from his own experiences to nurture their natural curiosity and love of nature. Phil and Al Robertson, stars of A&E's Duck Dynasty, also contribute their insights to the book.

"An Outdoorsman's Heart" is an inspiring and passionate exploration of Blake's life, faith, and love for the outdoors. Readers will be moved by his unwavering dedication to his values, as well as the captivating way he sees the world around him.
