Description
Peter Wagner returns to his hometown of Scranton to practice orthopedics and teach Anatomy at the local medical school. He immediately befriends Dr. Barry Kingman and his wife Rose, heiress to an immense fortune about to pass into her hands after the unexpected death of her wealthy mother. Unfortunately, the last will and testament of the recently deceased bogs down in a web of conspiracy theories as to the exact cause of her demise. Assigned to investigate the situation is District Attorney Riley Callahan, a local favorite with plenty of flair and a personal grievance with the Kingman family. Callahan's task is to determine if foul play was involved in the death of the affluent matriarch. During her investigation, the medical students in Pete's anatomy lab begin to uncover a pattern of anomalies among their cadavers, which at first are dismissed as oddities, yet over time strangely intersect with the ubiquitous Kingman name. As the eyes of a nation center upon the city of Scranton, and with the future of the medical school at stake, a twisted blend of medicine, technology and legal ethics converge in a dramatic reading of the matriarch's last will and testament. In Plain Sight is book three of a trilogy following the lives of Pete Wagner and Heather Jackson. It is the sequel to Twelve Men in the Huddle and Last Words Spoken.
