The time is March 1904. Following his momentous stay in Japan, Joseph Appeldoorn travels to Hong Kong on a business trip with his wife Eleanor, not knowing that the enticing British agent Amelia Peachy is also there too, and encountering as many dangers as ever...
Miss Peachy has been given the task of finding a spy among the British administration of the island who is selling their diplomatic secrets to the Chinese Manchu government. Joe Appeldoorn has even greater problems to face when his wife is abducted by a mysterious Chinese oligarch who is seeking a fabulous mythical statuette called the Dragon of Destiny which is believed to hold the fate of China in its hands.
Joe and Miss Peachy soon join forces in their bid to foil this dangerous spy, and to save Eleanor from a fate worse than death. But they must face many new and dangerous challenges on the way, while also encountering the man who will eventually decide the future of China, the famous Dr Sun Yat-sen...
