Description
A parody of Milan Kundera's amazing novel titled, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, this book, The Magical Lightness of Being, is a less-than-thirty-minute short read with an impactful message. Using witty quotes from Soren Kierkegaard to frame the short narrative, this book is a cheerful reconciliation of life, existentialism, and God as seen through the stages of Erik Seversen's life from an anxious young child to an adult who has found a healthy balance of work, family, and self.
The simplicity of this short work is refreshing, and the depth of its important message is profound. The author's life-philosophy began to develop while he spent months alone in Africa (as seen in the 1989 Sahara Desert photograph on the book's cover) and developed through years of forging a unique life. The author's message culminates in a very uplifting note to the reader at the end of the short book.
