She conveniently but unfortunately forgets about Gretchen. Then the story takes an unexpected turn. Ruby witnesses a scary event and won't go to the authorities about it. She's insecure but passionate about Jacob; she doesn't want her love with Jacob derailed. Ruby becomes anxious and worried.

I really enjoyed the authentic prose about the real Ruby. I read the book at the beach and enjoyed reading about Ruby's growth and romance with Jacob. Fun inspirational read.
