Description
When Elaine Lapp's parents decide to move to Pennsylvania, Elaine is given an ultimatum: find a husband or move with them. At twenty-five years old, Elaine is more than ready to start a life of her own, even though she struggles with her physical limitations. She worries her frailty may prevent her from ever having a family of her own. Despite this, her family works diligently as matchmakers, trying to help.
Asher Stuckey is a widower with a young daughter, still reeling from the loss of his wife, Rachel. However, after moving in with his onkel Isaiah, he realizes the practicality of marriage is exactly what his four-year-old daughter, Pammy, needs. When his path crosses with Elaine's, he notices the bond she immediately forms with his daughter. With a push from those around him, he reluctantly pursues a relationship with her. As they work to overcome their limitations and past hurts, the two face a crisis that will either make or break their relationship and any possibility of romance and love.
