Description
The fulfillment of God's promise to pour out His Spirit on all flesh is recorded in the book of Acts. This book is a study of the 61 different times the Holy Spirit in mentioned in Acts. For study purposes it is divided into twelve categories. These categories are as follows: 1) The Baptism in the Holy Spirit, 2) The Term "Full of" or "Filled with, 3) Being Led by the Spirit, 4) Prophecies Given through the Holy Spirit, 5) Lying to the Holy Spirit, 6) Tempting the Holy Spirit, 7) Resisting the Holy Spirit, 8) A Supernatural Act of the Holy Spirit, 9) Comforted by the Holy Spirit, 10) Anointed by the Holy Spirit, 11) Prophecies from the Old Testament, 12) Various Other References. Category 1 is divided into eight sections. It brings out the different words used to express the experience of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Twenty-nine of the sixty-one times that the Holy Spirit is mentioned in Acts are found in this first category. Also, at the end of the book, the Scripture references to the Holy Spirit in Acts are given in three different lists. We believe this study will be beneficial in aiding the reader to see the importance of having the Holy Spirit working in the lives of believers.
