Description
This massive book (800+ pages!) contains only a single short story, but that story appears over and over again, in thirty different translations! From Arabic to Vietnamese, Hebrew to Hindi, Latvian to Ukrainian, and many more. Even Klingon!
"Buffalo Dogs" was the first appearance of the Amazing Conroy and Reggie, a stage hypnotist and his alien companion animal.
It was supposed to be a one-shot, but people thought Conroy was pretty cool and they loved Buffalitos, so I wrote more. Conroy's universe expanded to include a collection, four novellas, and two novels. The original story began appearing in translation in magazines around the world and soon spawned two spinoff series and five additional novels, with more planned. But it all began with this short story.
What are Buffalitos? Imagine the American Bison shrunk down to a size you could carry under your arm. They have big, anime-like eyes and cute blue tongues. They eat anything -- seriously, anything at all: toxic waste, landfill, radioactive ore, you name it. Best of all, inside each adorable alien critter is a stomach like a nuclear furnace that converts everything they consume into simple oxygen, oxygen which they quickly release back into the atmosphere. By farting.
What's not to love?
In recent years, life has become ever more challenging, and I asked myself "How can I help?" With the world on fire, it struck me that if I wanted to really make a difference, I needed to share "Buffalo Dogs" far and wide -- not just the original story, but by putting it out there in thirty different translations representing some of the most common languages in the world.
There's never been a book like this. Maybe, just maybe, the power of the buffalitos will bring us all together and we'll begin treating one another better. Hey, we might even resolve climate change, inspired by the power of alien farts.
