Description

When Celia Bannerman's husband Tom says that he'd sell his soul for a new music teacher, little does he realise what is about to happen.

Lucas Todd appears to be the answer to their prayers. He's charming and talented, winning the Bannermans and especially their six-year-old Lucy over in a heartbeat.

Only Celia feels a stirring of unease when she meets the school's music master.

'Wishing will make it so', he writes in Lucy's autograph book, and soon it appears that the child has taken her hero's words all too much to heart.

The once sweet and innocent child begins to show a different side to her personality, and Celia can't help but suspect that Lucas is behind her transformation.

To add to her worries, her young stepsister Eva appears intent on winding Tom around her little finger, and no one else seems to suspect a thing.

Can Celia discover the root of the evil which is taking over the Bannerman household, before it's too late?

Or will the family fall foul of the deadly 'Breath of Brimstone'?

'Breath of Brimstone' is a brilliant paranormal thriller from the acclaimed author of 'Laura Possessed'.

Praise for Anthea Fraser's books:

'Anthea Fraser is a worthy follower of the traditional whodunit system... The plot is sustained throughout, and her artistic detective who literally "draws conclusions" is an original character.' - Sunderland Echo

'A well-mannered, well-plotted and well-told story' - Birmingham Post

'The book is a pleasure to read and savour' - Woman Journalist

'Irresistible, all-too-human story' - Dread Review of Mystery

'A well-structured book, with good balance between depiction of character and development of plot' - Criminologist

'Sympathetic, well-executed book, in which full attention is paid to human feelings and failings' - Yorkshire Post

Anthea Fraser has written all her life but did not begin to take it seriously until after marriage, when she found herself at home with two small daughters and embarked on a correspondence course with the London School of Journalism. She wrote short stories before turning to novels of the supernatural, and then to crime.
